Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Sun Mar 20th 2005, 6:52pm
A couple undergo a procedure to erase each other from their memories when their
relationship turns sour, but it is only through the process of loss that they discover
what they had to begin with (IMDB).
This is a powerful and visually spectacular movie. I still can't quite find the words to
describe why I liked it so much; it touches something indescribable, which in a way makes
sense, given that's what the movie's about.
It won the Oscar this year for
best
original screenplay, and Kate Winslet was nominated for
best performance by an actress
in a leading role. (The photos used here are (c) 2004 David Lee.)

This could be the most beautiful movie I have ever seen. I think everyone
has had that one person, that chemical bond, that was completely wrong for
you, but nothing else matters. Kate and Jim were amazing, and the more you
watch it, the more you discover. It really hits on multiple levels.

Most amazing movie Ive ever seen. And you're right... multiple levels. I've
seen it countless times and I still find new things. It's confusing when
you first watch it, but once you get the hang of the time thing.... no
words can describe.

I love everything about this movie. The way everything sorta just falls
into place...the music, the camera work, the acting the visuals...and it's
so real..unlike most romantic films...this movie felt honestly real to me.
IN EVERY LEVEL.
